When I first started writing as an Indie author I came across the author J. A. Konrath. He is a very successful self-published writer as well as being a traditional publisher. He is a bestseller with over 3 million copies sold. I have always been impressed by his success. I learned a few things from him. So why did I mention him?
Those who are just delving into the art of writing often have questions. I can answer some of them, but I'm still learning things myself. So, for those wanting more in-depth answers I refer you to "A newbie's guide to publishing". Here's the link: https://jakonrath.com/
This is a sad time for our country and the world. Like everyone else I'll be glad when this is over. Even after the virus is gone I think it will be a while before we can feel comfortable and safe again.
But eventually we will get through it.
Earlier this month I published "The Nexus" as seen below. But now that's old news. I am working on a new novel tentatively titled "The awakening". This will be more of a science fiction, thriller. And, though it was not my thought at the beginning, it seems to be turning into a YA novel.
I don't want to reveal much of the story right now. It is still in flux. I can't always predict how the characters are going to act.
I hope to get it out in a month or two.

I just published another book today. It is an action, science fiction novel titled "The Nexus". It may not appear on Amazon for a day or two, however.
This is not an entirely new book. It is a second edition. The first edition was my first book and was published several years ago. The storyline was good, but had way too many issues. After trying to fix it for a while I gave up and unpublished it. That was a few years ago.
After a time I got tired of constantly seeing this story languishing in my documents. One day I figured I would see what I could do with it.
It was a tedious job. I made a lot of corrections and a few changes. The biggest change was the ending. The ending in the previous edition was too predictable.
I have been successful probably because I have always realized that I knew nothing about writing and have merely tried to tell an interesting story interestingly.

In spite of everything I shall rise again: I will take up my pencil, which I have forsaken in my great discouragement, and I will go on with my drawing.
